Ireland’s first-ever Cruinniú na Cásca celebration went off with a bang on Easter Monday, with more than half a million people across the country taking part in the visionary new festival.

Presented by RTÉ as an initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme, the festival featured free, family-friendly programmes packed with creative and cultural events for each of the 31 participating counties in Ireland. Dublin City, the festival’s hub, hosted four distinct activity zones, from Smithfield Square and Custom House Quay on the city’s north side to Dublin Castle and St Stephen’s Green on the south.
