Connecting with the World at Uillinn
Come along to Uillinn and take part Connecting with the World their event for the national day of creativity for children and young people, Cruinniú na nÓg on 23 June 2018. All events are free of change and there promises to be something for all ages and interests.
Our day begins with a gentle wake up from Early Bird Music called, “I'm a Little Boat”, a concert that soothes the senses with gentle creative play for young children.
In the workspace our Artist-in-Residence, Charlotte Donovan, invites everyone to create a giant map of our connections across the world, and make individual fold-out guides to take away.
There are also some events to book into, including a gallery tour by children for children delivered by our trained team of your arts educators exploring the current exhibition titled “A Dialogue with the World”, which features the work of students from the Visual Art Degree Course on Sherkin Island.
Or, if you’re aged 7 to 11 you can book into a workshop with dance artist Mihaela Griveva and dance your way around the world.
Adults and children alike are welcome to visit our Artist-in-Residence in Studio 3 for a motion sensor projection and 3D printing experience, or drop-in to Studio 1 to see a Sculptor at work.
There’s so much to see, take part in and experience!
